Unless you have a specific tune in your head, chances are you don’t. This is half the fun. When I first started making beats, I was a musical bowerbird scraping together whatever I could find.
If you are influenced by a certain Hip Hop artists, I suggest you listen to those artists till your ears bleed. Then search the net till yo found something similar.. Initiation is a great way to learn the craft of Hip Hop, or any other style.
If you have your heart set on making that beat that has been going round and round your head for days, I suggest you download single drum hits called one-shots or try making the beat on a drum kit or keyboard.
