Sometimes You Need Some New Blood
Sometimes you just need need to cut to the chase when you’re making hip hop beats. You don’t have time to sit around digging through sample libraries, downloading random kits from all over the web, and you’re definitely SICK of the presets that came with your drum machine. It’s times like these when you need some fresh blood – you need a solid set of hip hop samples that you can rely on time and time again.

No More Weak Beats!
But the problem for me has always been taste. There are about 1000 kits scattered across the web claiming to be Timbaland samples or Dirty South beats but when I download them and get up on my sampler they’re just… WEAK! The people who make these kits aren’t real producers in the game, they don’t know how to make quality samples – they’re just faking it.
Which is why I can rest easy now that I found the Hip Hop Heat drum samples. Now I have a go-to set of hip hop drums in an instant. The amount of time saved is worth every penny – I’m knocking out my beats faster because I’m spending more time on the things that actually matter: creativity and making beats!
Four Different Sets, Four Different Styles
Basically there are four separate sets:
- The MPC Bangin Drums Set (influenced by RZA, DJ Premier, Kanye West)
- The Inspired by Timbaland Set
- The Inspired by The Neptunes
- Dirrty South Set (Inspired by Lil Wayne, Cash Money, T.I., Young Jeezy, Outkast)
Everything You’ll Need – In One Box
When I first cracked open the Timbaland kit, I have to admit I was a little intimidated by the sheer quantity of sounds – the site said over 70 samples, but I counted over 100 – talk about over delivering! You got it all – the drum hits, the conga-style sounds, lots of synth stabs and chords, shakes, rattles, and more.
Normally a producer would have to spend hours finding, sampling, chopping, processing, EQing, and mastering these sounds – but when you buy a Hip Hop Heat Kit – you literally have everything right at your fingertips. Almost as if you had Tim or Pharrel handing you their sounds to you on a silver platter.
But how do they sound?
But none of this matters if they don’t have the right sound – if they don’t pop. Once I starting building my loop with these drums – my jaw hit the floor. These sounds are ready to go, right out of the box. Totally mixed and mastered and… so fresh and so clean (and trust me, most people underestimate the importance of clean samples.)
Stop Surfing and Start Making Beats Right Now
Overall – I highly recommend giving these sample sets a go. These samples are massive and solid. When you’ve got a drum kit you can trust – the beats just start flowing.
