I kept getting emails from readers asking about the Rap Beats Manual – the Blueprint for Making Hip Hop Beats, I just had to find out if it could live up to the hype,

Well back in the beginning, before I really knew how to make beats – all I wanted was a simple, step-by-step guide to take me from knowing nothing to producing my first beat. I wish Rap Beats Manual would’ve been around back then it could have probably saved me 1-3 years of research and trial and error.

A Straight up, Step-By-Step Guide

What you get with Rap Beats manual is the straight up facts in an easy step-by-step way. This is the way I like to learn, by having someone else who’s done it walk me through it: if you were looking for a blueprint to beat making, this would be it.

Rap Beats Manual starts out detailing all your options for equipment – and stresses that you don’t need a lot of expensive equipment to make pro-quality beats and even points you to some free software. In fact, the Manual teaches you how to do everything on your computer alone!

There is a great section on Music Theory – teaching only exactly what you need to know and no more. There’s nothing I hate more than skipping through complicated and boring music theory sections in how-to manuals. Rap Beats Manual the absolute basics as they apply directly to Hip Hop Production – and no more!

No Fluff, No Nonsense

After that the Rap Beats Manual gets right into building up the framework of your beat. No fluff, no nonsense, no unneeded explanations – just straight up beat making. It walks you right through, step-by-step the way the pros do it, the way they don’t explain on the internet.

But, to be honest, the real meat of the Manual is in the Videos. Included with the book is 10 videos walking you through setup, sequencing, programming, adding effects, mastering, and exporting your beat. Its almost as if you’re watching over the shoulder of a pro producer, taking notes on his every move.

Great Video Case Studies

But the cherry on the top is a Video Case Study on breaking down the beat of Jay-Z’s “Kingdom Come” beat. Analyzing it from the inside out and then rebuilding it again from each of its parts. This was really a helpful exercise because when you can see someone doing something – you know its possible and you know you can recreate it.

By following along with the Rap Beats Manual, right away I created an insanely dope beat – and probably my favorite beat to date – without even really trying. Like the manual says, when you get the fundamentals right – the beat just kinda falls into place.

I have to say, if you wanna just cut to the chase, skip through the learning curve and just start making beats right now – the Rap Beats Manual is a great way to go…
